LNT & Partners is honoured to sponsor and support the Scientific Seminar "Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway System Development" organized by the Hanoi People's Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee from January 17 to 19, 2024 online via Zoom and at the Melia Hotel in Hanoi.
The seminar is organized to synthesize international experiences for research and completion of related institutions on urban development with transit-oriented development (TOD); planning on urban, renovation, land, investment, management, operation, and exploitation of urban railway systems. The seminar also aims to contribute to the project for development of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City urban railway systems by 2035 in 5 key areas: Planning; Land acquisition and clearance; Mobilizing resources from land; Standards and technological solutions; Organization model and project management.
The seminar will be attended by representatives of central agencies, delegates from the Hanoi People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; the People's Committees of the provinces and districts in the Hanoi Capital Region; major enterprises in infrastructure construction, urban development and leading experts from Vietnam and abroad in planning, urban development with TOD; land acquisition, clearance, and resource mobilization; technical standards-technologies; and management models, project implementation organizations.
The speakers will provide discussions on 4 topics:
Topic 1: Overview of the development of urban railway in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City under the TOD model;
Topic 2: Land acquisition, land clearance for the development of urban railway and TOD areas;
Topic 3: Mobilizing land resources;
Topic 4: Standards, technical standards - technologies and project management of urban railway.
Our Partner Le Net will have presentations in Topic 2 and Topic 3, with the titles "Risks and solutions in the process of preparing the ground, cleaning up utilities and standardizing the design interface of the metro project" and "Attracting investors to TOD projects through private investment or PPP".
