We are pleased to present our latest contribution to theVietnam chapter of Lexology In-Depth: Renewable Energy Law 2024. Vietnam israpidly emerging as one of ASEAN's fastest-growing renewable energy markets. Inthe first seven months of 2023, renewable sources accounted for 13.8% of totalenergy generation, with significant contributions from solar and wind power.The Power Development Master Plan (PDP 8), introduced in May 2023, aims toincrease renewable energy to 50% by 2030 and nearly 70% by 2050. Despite thisprogress, regulatory challenges have hindered further advancement, hence needto be managed properly.
